The Dress

I found it! :)

It is just perfect, I love everything about it. It was one that I was didn't expect.  I thought I had one picked out already, but there was just something off about that pick.  I just couldn't commit to it. However, this one had all the elements I wanted...it made me feel comfortable, and more "me," as corny as that sounds. Not only was it physically comfortable, it also had my personality.  The first one seemed too serious, and I guess I was in a serious mood when I was trying on dresses that day.  This new one had bits of lace, sparkle, and ruffles.  The first one lacked ruffles. So the ruffles were the deal breaker I guess. I'm excited!

Purse feverrr

Saw this bag at Old Navy today while running some errands. Love it!! Going to wait until next week when I can use my $10 off $20 coupon to snag it:

That should cure my purse fever for the season. Splurged on 2 Coach bags at the outlets this summer:

Coach Penelope (in periwinkle, not black) ($145 at outlets with sale and coupons)

Coach Kristen Convertible Shoulder Bag ($145 at outlets with sale + coupons)

Well, I try to tell myself that the total for BOTH purses still does not amount to the retail price of 1 purse. That makes me feel a *little* bit better, but not really seeing that I am a broke-ass student living on student loans and a part-time job. I'm a reallllllyyyy picky shopper and only buy things I really like...and the last few times I've been in Coach outlet stores nothing stood out to me. This was back a few years ago when I was living near the Kittery Outlet Malls in Maine. I never bought anything from the Coach outlet there, even with coupons in hand. So 2 purchases in a span of a few months is a lot to me. The last Coach purse I bought was at a 2nd hand store for $60 last year...and it was one that I fawned over for years, but did not have the heart to fork out $300+ on it.

Another recent "splurge" was a fuschia Longchamp 'Le Pliage' Large Tote that I found on eBay for $50 (retails for $145):
I love all the bags I splurged on this summer...they all make me happy and come in an array of odd colors. I'm pretty sure I'm done with bags for the moment...except for cheapie ones like the Old Navy one I'm going to snag next week for $10.

Random Diary

Inspired by other blogs, I've decided to jumpstart one once again. It's going to a rather simple-minded diary with no particular purpose. One of the main reasons why I found it hard to keep up with the blogging community over the past few years is my appreciation of privacy. There have been many twists and turns that past few years in my personal life that have distracted me from committing to a public blog.

I want to start again to help me express myself better. I have always had a hard time trying to say what I want to say, where I would usually result to the cheap easy way out of saying nothing at all. It is important to me that I learn how open up more about myself.

Ok, enough of this deep emotional B.S. There is not really going to be a real theme or purpose of the blog, it is going to be just as a the title says, a random diary. Hopefully this will help me share what is going on with my life to my friends and family, in addition to becoming a better writer. I will start out with a simple, generic layout. I am afraid that my website designing skills have atrophied from lack of use. Hopefully I can whip something up eventually. Speaking of atrophy, I am trying to recover glamorized.org. Due to my neglect, my host decided to automatically renew my hosting services but not my domain services. But then again, it is definitely time for a change. Maybe this is what I needed to start. We'll see.
